US seeks to end slump in semifinals

BEIJING (AP) The U.S. is one win away from playing for a gold medal.

In recent years, it's been an elusive win for the Americans.

In 2006, Greece upset the U.S. in the semifinals of the world championship. Two years earlier, Argentina eliminated the U.S. in the semis of the Athens Olympics.
